First Virtual Makeathon 'Urban Bio Economy‘ completed!

Innovation in Urban Bio Economy is mandatory for the sustainable future of our cities. In order to support developments in this field the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research and the German Sustainability Award aka Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis created a campaign to apply for their participation at the 1st virtual Makeathon for ideas in the area of Urban Bio Economy. ignore gravity was responsible for the concept the program development and its execution.
During the last 2 days ignore gravitys team hosted and guided 73 scientists and experts who worked in 16 teams, supported by 36 mentors and 4 coaches. They were able to turn their initial ideas or problem definitions to strong concepts backed by deep and solid scientific expertise. All participants were extremely happy with the achieved results and the new experience of digital collaboration in a Makeathon. All concepts will be evaluated by a jury and the 3 strongest candidates will become part of the selection for the German Sustainability Award. The ignore gravity team is very proud and thankful that we were able to contribute to such a meaningful project.
