ignore gravity curated Europe's biggest female hackathon. Together with our partners Henkel Ventures, SAP and Facebook, we developed a smart concept to be executed within three days: idea marathon for 150 women.
WHY
Our Female Accelerator Programme, ‘Grace’ is offering diverse formats and events to drive female empowerment, accelerating ideas, supporting a diverse working environment and giving women a safe space to develop their ideas further, connecting and learning with and from each other.
HOW
Europe's biggest Hackathon concept included an Xathon toolbox, ideation sprint sessions, coaching and mentoring sessions, pitching practice and a Demo Day. Our jury analysed the submissions and gave prizes to all the amazing winners.
WHAT
In mid November 2019, 150 female talents accepted our invitation to spent a three day weekend with our team, coaches and mentors in Berlin. We invited eight inspirational speakers to share their success stories, entrepreneurial insights and advice. Afterwards, with the support of 11 coaches and 22 mentors, we guided 150 women in small groups through Europe's biggest ideation session with several idea sprints and 1:1 mentoring sessions. The last day opened with pitching and storytelling inputs, followed by a first pitch round in seven verticals, with 73 pitch sessions in front of a jury. 11 finalists were selected and presented their ideas in front of everyone, followed by an award ceremony for the winners.
