#ReThinkOurFuture

Unnamed 5

We summarised the first findings of our survey with executives and entrepreneurs on how to deal with current challenges and their view of the future and discussed these findings with experts in an online panel.

The panel was moderated by one of our co-initiators Nikolaus Röttger, co-founder of FutureStory and former editor-in-chief of Wired Magazine.

Experts on the panel:

  • Prof. Manuela Rousseau - supervisory board member at Beiersdorf
  • Cawa Yunosi - HR Head at SAP Germany
  • Prof. Peter Wippermann - founder of Trendbüro
  • Prof. Dr. Kai C. Andrejewski - Regional Executive & Managing Partner KPMG

Key questions of the panel:

  • Renew Normal: What will really change and what will we learn from the crisis? Will we use resources more prudently after the crisis or will we sacrifice climate protection in favor of reconstruction?
  • Renew Leadership: What are the prerequisites for leadership in order to provide employees and customers with stability and security even in times of crisis? And why do we have to say goodbye to stereotypical gender models right now?
  • Renew Work: How will our working world change after the pandemic?
  • Renew Business: How can we manage to integrate intuition and agility into the entrepreneurial processes in order to respond faster and more flexibly to changing conditions?

Susanne Scheerer participated in the session for ignore gravity. She shared some of our first insights from many conversations with entrepreneurs and managers. Susanne stated: ‘In conversations with many managers, we noticed a more pronounced employee focus. The issues of health, closeness, agility and thus empathy in the digital workplace as a leadership dimension of the future are of greater importance in our observation. This then leads to the question of how you can train empathy in a targeted manner and how we can become more agile in the digital workplace? ’

The topic of empathy was particularly well received and discussed by the experts. If you are interested in learning more about ‘empathic leadership’, please visit our blogpost on the empathic organisation.

You can watch the entire panel session here again. If you are interested in the white paper that we will publish after the evaluation of all interviews, please send us an e-mail to: sk@ignore-gravity.com.

We thank all experts and our co-initiators FutureStory, Serviceplan and Zukunftsagenten!
