The third edition of our The Future of Food Conference will focus on digital business models and alternative production routes in the food industry.
The program
At the Future of Food stage, experts share their industry-specific knowledge and identify the trends and innovations of the food industry. The main topics this year are Next Generation Food Systems and Food-Tech-Knowlogy.
Among others, Radek Hušek and Mazen Rizkder talk about their startups and their innovative as well as alternative products. Radek Hušek is co-founder of The Cricket Lab, currently the world's largest fully automated barbeque farm. The startup's vision is to make insect food a New Normal and affordable for everyone. Mazen is the founder of Mushlabs. The biotech startup uses mushrooms to create the next generation of superfoods under laboratory conditions. In his role as Founder & CEO of Freigeist Capital, Frank Thelen focuses on investments in the early stages. At the Future of Food conference he will examine the relevance of startups for the future of the food market. He talks about why startups are becoming more and more important for the future food market and that their offerings are getting more and more interesting not only for the end customer, but also for the food trade.

The Food & Tech startup track is once again an integral part of the conference setup this year. Selected food startups present and inform about their products and their production. In addition, tech startups will be exhibiting in our Hardware Area and giving conference participants a haptic experience. This is how innovations such as 3D food printing, robo-farming and urban farming can be experienced.
Food Revolution 5.0
This year's Future of Food will take place at the Kunstgewerbemuseum in Berlin. In line with the conference, the current exhibition "Food Revolution 5.0 - Designing for the Society of Tomorrow" will focus on the future of food. Over 30 international designers present their designs, ideas and visions for shaping the transformation of the food system. The conference participants have the opportunity to visit the exhibition.
